Choosing a Topic for Class

For this Web 2.0 class you will have to choose a topic to research all semester long. We will spend a lot of time thinking of a topic relevant to you and your life. We will brainstorm using the Web 2.0 tool mindomo to both think of a topic and then to narrow that topic down. This page will help you consider topics while making a mindomo brainstorm. All topics must be approved by Mrs. Moore.

Keep in mind you will write a 1-2 page cited paper on your topic towards the end of the semester using all the information you found on your topic.

Ask yourself some questions about what interests you

  • What kinds of things do I enjoy doing?
  • Have I had a personal experience that made an impact on the way I think? Feel?
  • What could I teach someone else to do?
  • What would I change if I could change anything?
  • What am I passionate about?
  • What are my hobbies or free time activities?
  • What community service projects am I interested in?
  • What area of science interests me the most?
  • Do I have a strong opinion on a current social or political event?
  • Have I read about or seen a TV broadcast about something that interested me?
  • What jobs or careers interest me?
  • What do I have problems doing?
  • What am I afraid of?
  • Can I find enough information on my topic?
  • Can I see myself researching ALL semester on this topic?
